Turning 30!

Celebrated my 30th, probably the pivot point of my life. For some it is 40, for some 50, but for me it was turning 30. My youth is packaged, freezer tight and buried deep in the earth, I am now old. My parents are so wonderful and sent me a huge, musical birthday card, and on the front was, of course, the number '30' and I cried. It was pretty pathetic, but you see, neither turning 40 or 50 can hurt me now, because I've already let it sink in, I am old. Thank You to all the friends and family who remembered me that 'special' day :)!! I really love all of you, thank you for thinking of me in my old age. They also sent me a gift of a small statuette of a mother cradling her small baby close to her heart, and huddling over her, with her knees up a bit, as if she were protecting her baby from the world, and from danger. This is also very much a part of the life I'm leading now. Its called 'Guardian.' The only thing I asked for on my birthday, was to eat birthday cake on the beach. Here are some pictures of us picnicking on the beautiful untouched beach by Cape Henry lighthouse. That day was so fun. Christian and I hiked to the top of Cape Henry Lighthouse and we looked over the Chesapeake Bay. We played in the sand collecting sea shells, played on the large rocks and even helped a local man go crab hunting. Happy 30th!
